Academic and Career Plan
BackgroundThe Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (http://dpi.wi.gov/acp) in the PI-26 legislation requires public school districts to provide academic and career planning services to students in grades 6th - 12th. This Education for Employment / Academic & Career Plan is required to be approved by the school board and published on the school district website annually. Academic and Career Planning (ACP), is a student-driven, adult-supported process in which students create and cultivate their own unique and information-based vision for postsecondary success. Research on the ACP process shows that it increases student motivation, engagement, school connection, and awareness of individual strengths and weaknesses. |
